I agree...

While I DID enjoy the CD; it's not one I feel the need to listen nonstop to. The previous releases and other projects he is on (Alu's) had me more addicted. This is STILL worth copping, but overall was not as good as the hype. I enjoy many tracks and listen to it often; but it's just not the "raw" CJM I am used to.

Stone Cutters is a release I am FIENDING for. Along with any IDE/Alucard combo.

Great work though IDE; just kinda not what I expected.

Loved Nem$ for a LONG TIME. Thought the Necro connect was the wrong one, and I think he will bring a lot to the already AMAZING CJM CREW!!!

I gotta cop some of the new releases as I wait for the ones in the works.

Keep up the great work guys!!!

Coney Island Native "Nems" is in the process of building with CJM on releasing his new LP. Previously signed to Necros "Psychological Records" and known for destroying competition in the battle circuit. We think he could be a good fit, and great addition to the current line up, what are your thoughts?

Choose your top 2 songs that you think should be pushed for the next single for Ideology. We are in the process of working out something to have some vinyl. We are interested to know what people think.

Realizm
Nasty Ill Filthy 12"
Out Now only @ Clinic116

You may have heard of Realizm, you may not have. He's been cutting his teeth for the better half of a decade in the studio and the stage with a bunch of guest spots littered across various local and international releases. He has a vinyl only 12" about to drop called Nasty Ill Filthy featuring DJ Snair (The Battlehoggs), IDE (Creative Juices) from Brooklyn and Koolta from Adelaide.

The vinyl only 12" features four tracks and their four counterpart instrumentals; all produced by unsung beatsmith Amayze. This is the first project between the two Adelaide natives, with an album in the works for next year. The 12" is currently only available at Clinic116 and there has only been a limited pressing of 200, so grab your copy fast before they all get snatched up.

Interesting u should say that, cause Ide anticipated that response.. (not that its a bad response) i respect your opinion, and it goes to show he knows his fan base, thats why he got the for fuck sake shit coming, if your looking for uncut raw beats and rhymes.. they're all over that shit! I really liked the way he came off on "at least". Its very refreshing to see that people are actually diggin into the music, and thank god theres music worth digging into..

I guess I'm not the only one who already listened to the album, I'll start posting my opinion, hope to hear some others:

When I first listened to the album, I was a little disappointed, probably because my expectations were a little too high. Also, the first half of the LP is that kinda BoomBap you might find on some other Eastcoast artist's album aswell. But that doesn't mean it's not good - it's pretty good actually: Endurance is a great posse-track, You'll Find is still bangin my head off. The second half gets even better, with some of the songs having kind of a dark gloomy feeling to it - mainly referring to devilz island, 1043, higher place and concentric ring - and major props for not having Block McCloud singing one of his hooks but actually have him rapping on the track.
I was disappointed with the Never remix, as the beat is almost the same as the original and neither Maylay nor Rocc justify this remix making the album (and it's not that I don't like the dudes, I even met them in person, and apart from that they're both nice rappers).
Btw, the title track "Ideology" isn't one of the best beat-wise in my opinion, but the wordplay with the song titles in the 2nd verse is highly entertaining

After listening to the album numerous times, I think it's a little better than ToC, but doesn't reach the level of "Force Fed".

I can explain why I feel this way, and it goes hand in hand with the reason I fell in love with the CJM-sound in the first place:
When I listened to "Force Fed", "Endless Varietes", etc and later on "Watch Them Fall", I was blown away by that raw sound, a sound that had kind of a lo-fi feeling/vibe to it without sounding bad-quality - the drums on some tracks were just so powerfully hard they carried the track themselves. This energy was combined with great samples, samples that sounded like someone dug really deep, and they always had sort of a mystic or a cinematic feeling to them.
Now I'm afraid these elements are missing on "Ideology", except for the 2nd half of the LP where the kind of samples surfaced that I wished for. Now I don't blame "Ideology" for that, cause it's mainly produced by Connect, whom I don't consider torchbearer of the Creative Juices sound (even though "Re-Arrange The State" sounded a little too standard to me aswell). I just hope that the things that made me a CJM-fan won't go lost as time passes by - I'll wait for Stone Cutters to give further judgement on that issue.

"Ideology" to me is a new facette of IDE, showing that if IDE does typical Eastcoast-BoomBap (also displayed by someone like Ill Bill, who is featured on so many releases nowadays), he still does it better than almost everyone else...
As negative as I might sound, it's because my expectations were that high, it's because I consider IDE and CJM to be one of the best in the game right now, which also means I judge more critically than with almost anyone else. "Ideology" will probably go down as one of the better (if not one of the best) albums of the year, it just didn't blow me away, which I hope future CJM-releases will achieve.

PS: Samples I already knew used in other rap songs:

the first "Intro" uses the same sample as Robust's "Raw Biz":
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jr5-bm3pQn0

"Still In This" uses the same sample as Killarmy's "Were I Rest At", no need to post a link for that, cause anyone who doesn't know that song should go buy the album immediately
